Privacy policy

This page explains what information this site collects when you buy a book or download a free sample, and what happens to it.

When you download a free sample

Free samples are plain downloads from this site. You don’t give any personal information to get one.

When you buy a book

Checkout is run by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record for your order. Dodo Payments collects the details it needs to take payment, calculate tax and deliver your order, such as your name, email address, billing country and payment details. Payment details go directly to Dodo Payments and its payment processors; this site never sees your card number. The author sees your name, email address and what you bought, and may email you about your order or a new edition of a book you bought. Dodo Payments’ own privacy policy covers how it handles that information.

Cookies and logs

This site doesn’t set its own tracking or advertising cookies, and it doesn’t collect any information itself: checkout happens on Dodo Payments, which may use cookies to work. Like most websites, the hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

Your choices

To ask what information is held about you, or to have it deleted, contact Dodo Payments, which processed your order, at dodopayments.com/contact.
